Today has shown that performance doesn't matter the higher up you go.
@ac Not solely on performance, but the cost of operations to keep those leaders in place. Performance is one part, but taking it a step further by looking at how much those leaders are making, and does it make sense to keep someone with 10+ years in the role when you can replace them with someone who is new/er to the role and is possibly making $20-$30k less a year just on base salary?
@a2 Based on the leaders that are still in position, I highly doubt it's based on performance. The leaders that are in place have abused their power and are immoral men that forget they are married. So how do these people drive accountability when they are hardly accountable for their own actions? What's hysterical is the field is well aware of what's going on. It's truly a shame. VZ is no longer a place where you could feel proud to be an employee.
Sleeping Beauty syndrome. We admired ourselves as the fairest network in the land for too long. When the mirror finally told us the truth, that there was one younger and fairer, we hunted each customer down, and raised their prices.
Long overdue. As a business, we deviated from performance management. Be prepared for leaders looking at numbers and top-down performance accountability.
