Thread regarding Boeing Co. layoffs

Any rumors abotu RIFs?

I am wondering if there any rumors about layoffs? It has been really quite and lower level management states that there will be no layoffs. Just curious. I see topics about a bunch of other topics, but not layoffs.

Middle managers hired by CEO team plan great reduction of people who have narrow scope, smaller teams of people with broader experience. Already hired H1Bs.

I don’t believe there will be a reduction in force until the F-47 flight test and production starts.

Then when they go into a sustaining mode on the program, they will lay off a lot of the older employees to save money or move them to a legacy program that nobody wants to supports then six months later bring in a bunch of college graduates to do the sustaining work. While all the experience people who worked extra hard to make schedule and make the program a success either get light off to a dead in legacy program to encourage them to retire or leave. Boeing a very unethical company.

They did something similar on 777x. Asked author experienced employees to really ki-l themselves to make some very aggressive scheduling dates just to only turn around and put them on some dead end. No future program to reward their hard work.

Boeing likes to lay people off and then post their job six months later and hire someone that they can pay less. This is their idea of cost savings.
