Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

How long to notify

Is there a point that we can be sure we are safe if we haven't heard anything? 11am? 12pm? 3pm?

I think by now, everyone should have been notified.

I got an invite for a team sync but it only has about 40% of the team on it. If 60% of the group got cut, we are in trouble.

@a2 Yea, makes logical sense for people to know there fate by 1pm EST. Dont want them finding out through the severance portal

The ONLY absolute way to know if you are safe, is when you receive the “team sync” invite for the whole team.

I would say 1 pm. Since that’s when severance package portal opens.

Notification should be complete by 12PM EST. 1 impacted team member had been called at 9:15, rest of the team received a team invite at 9:30 to advise us that we were safe. That seems to be what’s happening in all other channels as well. Stay close to your team to see who received/es calls and hope and pray you don’t get one by 12EST
