They want us to help shift all our responsibilities and tie up loose ends. I don’t want to look at my work computer let alone help my manager right now.

Yup, same thing just happened to me. I was on the field finance team.
Sorry to hear that. Here's some solid advice I've come across on the Vz board...

Same here! I am just taking this morning and after today pretend to work while looking for a new job. I hope they all understand is not personal is numbers and my personal numbers need attention
Your full time job is to look for another job. That's it, that's all you tell them with a smile. Be available with clear, very clear, limits. No calls without appointment, one hour during the day. That is your lunch break from your current full time job, and happy to give it away for VZ. Always smile, but stick it up theirs, till severance. By next week they will leave you alone.
VZ has always had riffs the week before Thanksgiving. Pure evil. When I took the buyout a few years back, I just stopped working, while my manager walked around trying to figure out who took the package. Was really shocked but I knew it was time toi take 3 weeks severance and walk. Then until the end had liquid lunches with my buds who also took the package...
I know you don't want to, but don't do anything to jeopardize your severance.
Details please?
