@187 exactly. 4 and 5 ratings are frowned upon. 3 is basically the rating everyone gets-they don’t even like 2s because HR has to admit they hired duds and then they have t do some work.

@173 - This very true. There is no incentive to work hard because exceeding goals also gets a 3. Just do your job, but nothing extra. That is how upper management wants it, so they get it.
@173 There has always been a bell curve. “Meeting your goals” means you get a 3.
Managers have already been directed to give a limited number of 4s and 5s to their employees in their evaluations, which directly impacts the bonus. Even if staff meet their goals, their manager is forced to score them lower. The evaluations are an exercise of futility, leaving staff who bust their tails feeling deflated.
Wait… you guys get paid?
@km I am the same and have plans to use my $75,000 bonus on a new car.
there's always been API.. even after RIFs. I think hr believes it helps morale. that being said, I think it will be lower. maybe .5 or .25 lower. we will see. hcsc is sitting on alot of money (that is what I've been told). until API amount is announce going hold off that vacation to evanston.
@gf I am also in IFM and I hope they do not ding us that much next year. I count on that extra $60,000 every year.
@gf Because you all didn’t meet your divisional goals.
@fb nope. IFM got dinged royally. API cut by 40%
What was last year’s payout? Did it exceed the API target? Merit?
My expectation is that we will get API and merit raises, at a rate of 30-50% less than last year.
@e7 3% is a good raise. Don’t count on it this year though.
I’m a new employee. Do we not get annual bonuses some years? What are the annual raises like? Do we usually get at least 3 percent
We will get API bonuses, the question is whether they will be good or not so good.
110%
@OP 100%
