To all the impacted dedicated and intelligent former employees, I wish you all nothing but the best. I understand the job market is the brightest at moment but don't give up. I saw some of the brightest folks were let go today and it was a sad moment.

With so many recent data breaches, there should be some additional waves.

They are too busy with their 4 square reports to worry about security.

Were there other organizations impacted, other than CSO?

@a4 I'm starting a pool to predict the next breach announcement. Give me 20 on March 2026, I'm good for it.

@aa Don’t you mean time to trim the fat at the top? There is a ton of dead weight and bloated compensation at the top.

Security is bad due to these functions being offshored. Yeah let’s offshore our network, customer, and phone and data info overseas. No national security concerns there. But it’s a CBOC violation to take your laptop out of the country due to security concerns. We weren’t having near these issues until everything went overseas.

“Our security is sh-t! We can’t keep our customer data safe. Let’s fix this by laying off more security people!”

It goes like “Let’s actually start getting employees with experience in network security to fill these roles.”

Our leadership is so clueless that I wonder if this is how those layoff meetings go? “Our security is sh-t! We can’t keep our customer data safe. Let’s fix this by laying off more security people!”
