The days of Fannie Mae being the best company to work in is now gone. 5 days in-person, constant stress from layoffs, political environment, no promotions.. 30% of my team just gone… Not even contractors. They are FTE

Welcome to corporate America...lots of big companies requiring people to come back. If anyone was around Fannie over 10 years ago it wasn't a fun place to work either. Constant layoffs back then...way worse then now, and a lot less employees. That was 5 days in the office, no casual dress, less days off. Many forget it was a lot worse years ago cause the last 8 years or so have been sort of ignored hands off as long as the government was getting their money from Fannie and Freddie. They should be giving all taxpayers some money back but the government is a bunch of money addicts.
Lay off will keep continue.
The market room.
What team is in office 5 days a week?
Just now as in today?
Today? On a Wednesday? This is very disappointing to say the least.
