Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

I’m a rep at a high preforming store

Am I likely safe? My store typically performs well and we’re in the Atlantic South. I’ve been with the company for 2 years. Does anyone know anything concrete?

@a5 yeah they’d be hush hush, because even if your stores not closing or being divested someone in your district probably is, and even if not - the lines are being redrawn. You may have a new territory and district before the weeks end. Also I’m pretty sure your director won’t even know until Thursday, and your SM will find out 5 mins before you do.

@a4 thank you for the information. My district has been super hush about all of this and hasn’t really told us anything.

Yeah dude you’re probably fine, usually the last ones to go is retail reps. Only during divestment and closure is it something to worry about. If your store is “high performing” it shouldn’t be on a list for divesture. If your store is on a “get well plan” meaning it’s not pulling in enough boxes to pay the overhead, then that store would be at risk. Your Sr. Mgr and Director would know if it’s on a “get well plan” if it’s not, I’d bet you’re fine bud. Good luck, been there and you’ll see many more as the years go on.
