Will Verizon be broken up and sold? I think it's days are numbered.

Companies come and companies go. Eventually Verizon will too.
Even a once great company like AT&T is gone (although the brand is still being used).
Yes. Watch for acquired legacy businesses like MCI, etc.

I have been through many corporate RIFs and this has all the markings of a fire sale. They hire a hatchet guy to come in and make the company look more profitable (short term), bump the stock price up, then sell.
Unlikely. Maybe sell the international business, but they have never been able to find a buyer for that. I believe they're cutting to make themselves attractive for a buyer like Musk or a merger.
