Healthcare Contributions?

Are healthcare contributions paid in full by Vz, or is the affected employee still responsible for the portion he or she has been paying all along? Are dental and vision included in the coverage along with health?

@a2 Not if the Republicans have anything to say about it! They tell you the ACA is terrible but offer no alternatives for over a decade. The Republican plan is if you get a serious illness just please expire quickly.

No payroll deductions. Your benefits will remain as they are on the day of your termination through the end of your severance period. So whatever coverage you have at that time remains and the company picks up the tab for all premiums. When you get your documentation pay attention to what it says about continuing coverage beyond that and how your HCRA, DCRA and life insurance will be impacted. Some of it is impacted by whether or not meet the rule of 73 (considered retirement eligible for a RIF situation).

@OP Yes losing our great healthcare coverage is my greatest worry. I guess I can always sign up for Obamacare.

For the VSP it was 100% covered by Verizon. Medical, dental and vision. You still have to pay co pays etc, but they don’t take the standard payroll deduction.
