Thread regarding NetApp layoffs

DII layoffs

I thought DII was going to be our bread and butter for monitoring, They cut half the team today. I believe other orgs were also impacted.

@2cf DII and DEI are TOTALLY different.

One is a racist and s-xist tool to promote people based on skin color and gender.

The other used to be called a dozen different names like OnCommand Insight (OCI) and then recently Cloud Insights and finally Data Infrastructure Insights (DII).

I am actually happy to see the DII team cut.

NetApp's DII was a racist org that targeted white men at NetApp. Your "inclusivity" message was very exclusive unless you felt guilty and 'bent the knee' to everyone, walking on eggshells.

NetApp has become a failed company over the last 5 years. Revenue has not kept up with inflation, and you can connect the dots on the top salespeople/leaders leaving, who they were replaced by, and the people they brought in with them.

I am so happy I decided to leave when I did. I am sorry for my friends who are still there. NetApp is a ship going down fast. Don't believe me? 3 Layoffs in 3 months, 4 this year already. Their "revolutionary steps in AI" are a joke. The Partners see NetApp as not even catching up. DII was a disaster for NetApp.
