Anyone with past experience porting the consession phone number? A pin and acct# would be needed. I know of folks that took vsp that ported. If allowed this go around, any details on getting that done?

For sales reps, If you plan to try and work with a different carrier, don't do a contact list dump of Verizon customer contact information. Besides being illegal, if corporate finds you've done that you'll also be fired from your new company. I've seen that twice in my small market and both individuals were fired from the competitor once Verizon legal contacted them. They will check your downloads, particularly if you download it to a personal drive, disk, etc. I'm not saying to not make sure you've got great personal notes and contact information that's been gathered through the years, but don't download it at the last minute.
Check with total wireless, they have plans as low as 20 bucks if you bring your own phone.
You submit a request to the concessions team, it gets approved in a day or 2. Number has to be put in a Verizon personal account. will be put into a Verizon account, you can keep it there or port it out. Porting out is simple with code process mentioned.

Thanks everyone. After 2 decades, I really do hope to keep my number. Of course we have to give up the actual phone. Btw, I plan on moving to Visible. I like the VZ coverage. I will miss the unthrottled speeds (and free phone!), but is is hard to beat $19 per month for 2 yrs. Even keeping a 25% discount, the access fee on the EPP is a deal ki-ler for me.
@a6 Verizonwireless broke company policy by porting your number without the proper approval.
Both of these responses are true. However, I found the directions for porting your company phone number to your personal device difficult to understand. I ended up calling VZW and they did it in two seconds. Just a recommendation.
All the information you need will be in your severance package, if you are impacted, but yes, you can port your number.
With the proper approvals, you can port your VZ Corporate cell TN to a personal account and personal phone.
For your business use line, you will have to get VP approval to keep your number. You will also need to replace your phone. VZ requires you turn in your old device.
