Meetings on Campus with armed guard?

I saw an armed policeman on the upper floor of the cube. I noticed him still there couple of hours later. I asked some people in my class about what he could be doing there.
One guy said the policeman stops every person that goes to the elevator and checks if there name is on a list.
There was obviously such an important meeting at the top level of the cube that employees were not allowed on the same floor as the meeting.

What are they discussing such that an armed guard is required to keep employees off that whole floor?

Lots of armed police on campus recently. I saw 5 armed police as I walked to lunch. I remember back when campus was opened and we did not have armed police for at least the first 5 years. What is the reason for having so many armed police patrolling campus recently?

I was on Campus then too and I saw $TR1PP3R’s being escorted by armed guards through the east far tunnel to the VIP elevator up to the Cube Restaurant along with a Energy Cap Credit Union Rep carrying money bags but it’s probably just some mandatory corporate training.

We probably were “honored” to have a dictator visiting.

The guard appeared to be in a Police uniform. He was stopping people getting on the elevator that went from level 4 to the restaurant level. He had a list and was confirming if their names were on the list.

I see Darren walking around and have had a hallway chat. Saw him walking into my garage once too.

If an executive needs armed guards for protection around their own employees then they’re doing something wrong.

It’s common for executives up to the level of CEO to sit and eat in the company cafeteria in Europe and parts of Asia. Not sure why Americans always need people with g-ns around to perform basic life functions. Doesn’t look like freedom to me.

If ever I see DW in the campus, I might lose it and throw my pair of shoes at him, yeah both of them, I will lose.

Do you think the police training on campus the other weekend was just a regularly scheduled event? No, it’s in advance of DW being closer than normal to the u washed masses at the holiday gathering, they were practicing in case someone goes postal. Need to have the evacuation route well rehearsed for the almighty.

You are using two completely different terms. An armed guard is not the same thing as a police officer. So, which is it? The former can work for the company to enforce rules. The second can only enforce laws, not corporate policy.
