How is it possible thar our organization added 4~5 headcount less than 12 months ago and we are now being told that layoffs are imminent. Makes no sense to me. You hire people to lay them off couple of months later.

We did not have a hostile takeover of the company by the board members in last 12 months either!
Different CEO and different rules, unfortunately.
They added them for vcg for iPhone and holiday support. They were only handling tier 1 porting - wireless
It's becuase people were hrred for a specific tagrteted need. The big picture has changed significantly. It's like getting new tires on a car and then selling it 6 months later. Sure had you known you were selling you might have put off the new tire purchase
ummmm, gotta pay Kevin Hart
It says everything about "so called leaders"
Every new leader here has to pi-s on the tree. Common sense is out the window when these guys get an idea in their mind. We’re just all along for the ride. Been watching it happen for over 30 years.
Have seen this many of times someone gets promoted than RIFed. Wish you the best
if you got hired less than 12 months in a new organization then you will be more likely to get fired since there's no way to prove that your organization is useful to what Dan wants. If your organization is overlapping with another then the risk is higher. sorry but good luck to you!
I’ve only been at the company for a handful of months! A couple of weeks ago I was recruiting for a new direct report. And now it looks like I’m getting laid off this week. It’s absolute insanity. And very cruel.
I’m one of those who was hired within the last 12 months. Honestly no clue what to expect. Not sure if I am more or less at danger.
