Thread regarding Accenture layoffs

Are we sure only MDs will be cut in the coming weeks?

Somehow it’s always the rest of us who end up jobless, no matter what else is going on.

@1p3 OMG it's all over. especially in HR and ITm zombie yesers to The Queen. All those that have been there for over 20 years, stepping on the back of others in their climb, living in those multimillion dollar homes in the canyon. Yea, no nepo there. I remember I was invited to an annual meeting once with the CEO in NY- when Julie was new. I can't remember what it was called but essentially a bunch of HR ladies showed up in their Chanel, Prada and pearls, basically drunk, still drinking champaign at the meeting. This was while massive layoffs were happening. It explained the reason I felt sick all of the time around these people.

hey @1mt - what do you think when you say "thrive on nepotism" - I am in So Cal and I do not see any nepotism here.

ACN is overstaffed with MDs, who deliver no value (sales or delivery) and thrive on nepotism. They need to be culled a lot.

They always hit MDs. They do realize that each MD = 20 employees in terms of drag and cost. They also know that MDs can be very valuable if there is a strong relationship with the client, those are 'mostly' safe. Everyone else is a fair game. I've seen armies of MDs involuntarily leave Accenture. The packages they receive are amazingly good.
