Thread regarding Highmark Health layoffs

Layoffs for the Holidays!

How Highmark of them. This morning 3 from our group (including me) were laid off in a TEAMS MEETING. Keepin' it classy, Highmark.

That’s exactly right. They want their bonuses. But when their kids look around and America isn’t looking like it used to, they might be sorry. If you don’t employ Americans, you’ll lose America. SELLOUTS

@OP - they’re simply awful! They never intended to stay in NY! They just wanted the numbers!

This was the same for me. Someone who probably slept their way to the top. Who likes to come into the office and strut around in her tight skirts lol.....entertainment at the finest

You notice the job titles of Thryve employees are laughable? Everything from there is a scam.
When they have no more onshore to ask questions or go to for help, management will finally see the truth.

It’s a Highmark Christmas!

When I got laid off in a Teams meeting, my manger and VP said nothing and weren’t even paying attention, multitasking. That’s how classy the leadership is. Zero concern, not even a thank you or good luck…. Zero..

If you feel that you may be targeted for a layoff, maybe perhaps setup a "dead mans switch". Set it to go off if/when you are no longer there there and unable to extend the execution date. Every so often when you ARE there, go ahead and "extend it". But, once they let you go, then a few weeks or a month or two go by and you are no longer there, then rest easy that things will "get chaotic" once it goes off. Ah, at least it gave ME a lot of joy when MINE went off!!!!! Dang, nobody know what hit 'em!!!!!

You’d be lucky to hear about a layoff on your direct team… department? Lmao, most people find out when they get a bounced email or they show inactive on teams.
