I heard of yet more layoffs at RVBD today. I left a few years ago, but it is sad to see a company run aground so badly.
There once was potential, but terrible leadership ki-led the company

If Riverbed had a dollar for every big feature "we had ten years ago" there wouldn't have been a bankruptcy.
Weak leadership was afraid to rock the boat and never got behind the next generation products that would have kept the company alive after the death of wan optimization—which we all saw coming years in advance. Imagine if riverbed had whitewater/steelstore now? That’s what Dell is morphing data domain into. Riverbed had it 10 years ago.
