I have noticed a recent upsurge in LinkedIn posts touting courses completed, continuing education. These are fluffy courses about planning your day or office conflicts. The Allstate posters are ECs or QA people. Are there rumblings about layoffs in these claims positions, or any claims positions? Are they trying to look good to the decision makers? Anyone have any info?

They have no clue what ECs or their managers do.
There are several of us that they don't know what to do with so they told us to basically spend the day doing LinkedIn learning courses, it is all just busy work.
It’s a lot of QA people. They’re scared since they know they don’t add any value.
It’s about having to 18 hours of learning time, but not allowed to do it while working. This place is such a joke.
You know who the sheep are. They’ll stick around until they’re slaughtered. I left, sought real skills/certs, not silly badges, got a 15% raise with 10% annual bonus. I’m not a badass or high roller by any means, but it’s alarming how many people CHUG that blue koolaid!
Many are being told to develop themselves. They share that they are learning to appease those in power
