Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Stock holders or employees?

Stock holders and those who get more from stock compensation than rank and file is the priority!

The CEO and ELT do have a duty to the owners of the company long term. But seriously protect the dividend short term versus reward the hard working employees is a terrible trade off! Stock holders and investors should be patient, ignore the workers expect many to leave even in this tougher time.

Cut the dividend and invest in the company. It’s clear what the new Chairman’s priority is as a bean counter

ASG said, 'hope is not a strategy'. What do you call Intel behavior of not cutting the headcount properly in the hope that PC demand will pick back up in the back half of 2023? Strategy? Kindness? Indecisive? Clueless? what would you call it?

Intel needs a 20-30K layoff by division not across the board performance assessment or age discrimination methods.

Pat be bold and do the right thing and not this finance stuff to protect the stock

There should do targeted layoffs by divisions that don’t fit the strategic direction. Sadly ELT rather do a generic haircut across the board that will bleed the best talent as they can see the company has no courage.

  1. Cut dividend and stock will go to $1.
  2. Most Intel employees are not hard working
  3. Intel culture encourages unnecessary busy work.

The stock didn't rise when this pay cut is announced. People are waiting for the layoff on the 10K scale.
