This is one of the biggest problems - in case of big layoffs, many of us would have a very hard time getting new jobs. I know that I tried my best to keep my skills relevant here, but it's not so easy when you work at Dell, right?

actively discourage me...
notice it's always everyone against you guys? then the obsession with HR again
My manager would actively discourage me from spending time upskilling. I simply stopped telling my manager I was deprioritizing their d-mb pet projects for private learning time. In the long term skills pay off more and Dell likes to keep you d-mb and desperate.
Also LOL at all the crying HR people invading this site and screeching “loser” at everyone who comments about layoffs on a layoff website
@nct+1kXKdOHc Sad loser.
always a strange obsession with HR
look, you were laid off, move on already. i know you feel jilted. but move on already
another tell-tale sign of ex laid off is their obsession with HR.
This is the response that you have left in previous threads.
No life or low life?
Hard to tell.
Either way HR
Yes, it is difficult to maintain relevant skills while at Dell.
Companies are looking for folks who know how to sell, not take orders on commodity goods.

HR are earning in this thread.
If we have layoffs they wont happen until at least the first week in Feb.
Why would Dell layoff staff while they are trying to still close out year wnd deals?
Wouldnt make sense.
They will either reduce bonuses and raise targets so we leave in large numbers or layoff small numbers starting next week.
Have heard one team is going so far.May be just water cooler gossip.
I'm sure the HR troll will have more cr-p to say on the matter and will inform us on managements plans and that all is fine.
if you think you are irrelevant you are irrelevant
