On Thursday, 1/26, the Marketing Dept learned in a group Teams call that there will be layoffs in February. The numbers and details are foggy as they say the "assessments" of each employee in Marketing will first have to be performed/logged with HR. Expect at least a 10% reduction, or about 55-60 heads.

@1olq-so you don’t want transparency? You would prefer a 24 hr announcement?
Cry me a River. Lotsa folks paid way too much for what they do. All will get big severance and whine about how bad they are treated. Years of feee bonus and money to do very little work that a high school student could do. With big titles. Pathetic
Most folks don’t get paid to leave. They have to actually work for positions.
I thought the way they handled ET was bad but at least they didn't make us sit around for a month wondering if we'd have a job
Sorry to hear you have to deal with this. The lack of transparency does not provide any employee with confidence.
Good leaders don't consider their people numbers. No doubt leadership at SF needs prescription refills.
this happened a bunch of us in the ET engine room 2 weeks before. Feel bad for Marketing now too. Terrible times. All companies trim the "fat" at times, but sadly they never trim WAY up top and cut SR Exec Bonus money that could save the company literally millions and jobs.. When Mr R left.. all the good family stuff went with him :(
The way the message was relayed in the confidential meeting was horrible-very bad. Very threatening about you may not have a job, nothing promised, we don't care if you are a good people person or have great experience, this is the new way not the old way. Everything is based on the Skills Assessment. Basically managers will pick their teams only based on the skill assessment everyone completes. They said this is not a staff reduction... Bunch of lies right there. 15 minute meeting ending with "have a good day". At least ET people all get one year of work even though a different company, they aren't fired like we may be. If you say its a good way to get rid of the weakest, can't disagree but that should be addressed by Managers. 🥺🥺🥺
