Any group which resists layoffs now will be soon like the Memory group of 80s. Don’t know if Intel can spin up a product line to again dominate the market like x86 cpus did but if group leaders of their current products don’t cut costs heavily and immediately now, they will be delegated to history.
I still can’t get around my head as to why cost cutting and layoffs announced one quarter ago haven’t still taken place!
How sad it is that despite promise of additional bonus, cost cutting goals were not met. And management decides to give bonus anyway!
