About severance package in Canada

Does anyone know at what rate TR gives severance for Canadian employees? In US I knew it seems 2weeks per year of experience capped by max 26 pay.

As per canadian ESA, it seems 1 week per year of experience.

Severance is more than just provincial or federal legislation. Common law must also be considered. So severance for someone can be as high as 24 months' pay when all told. Factors behind this calculation don't stop at how long somebody has been with the company. Their age, what job they had, their benefits, any bonus they earned, etc. also play a huge role. I found this: https://www.severancepaycalculator.com/

Four weeks for each year—what is the cap? Still one year (26 pay periods)?

I have Canadian colleagues who were laid off and got 4 weeks for each year of service.
