Reading Dilbert this morning, I saw many of the situations at Ford reflected in the comics. Is that what we are, just the punchline of a bad joke, the laughingstock of automakers?
How come managers don't realize the ho-e we are in? The numbers are showing how deep we are in sh-t. Why are we chasing unicorns and rainbows, while we keep losing market? Why managers cannot tell the troops what is really happening and what's going to happen in the short term? Are we laying off more people? Are we hiring back retirees? Do we have too many or too few employees? Can old dogs learn a new trick or not?
I cannot plan my life with this uncertainty. I have put on hold the expensive vacation plans, because IDK when the axe is falling. I have a good salary, should I take a pay cut just to get out of FMC? I am feeling stressed out all the time, and it is not related to my workload. I work, not because I like it, but to bring home the bacon. Inflation, recession, layoffs, all is doom and gloom in the news, while the company is going insane with all those id--tic solutions. IDK if I can be around much longer, with all this stress.
