Arvind's proud of his last remaining "moonshot" - but with financials and their commitment to the dividend - will be increasingly hard pressed to not sell off the Quantum project.
Indeed I believe the only reasons it remain alive are (1) it's the last technically innovative thing left - so maintain appearances, and (2) Fiscally it's not real revenue for anybody in the field. Yet. Ok. 3. Countest thou to 3. Prob some government money in there somewhere propping it up.

And this 2 months old IBM's PR, not a "report", was posted here now, on a layoffs message board why? By who? "Cool"? No it isn't. IBM has long ago stopped being a high-tech innovator, they just buy companies, layoff people, and repeat - see Watson Health many past "reports" and hype. Nothing cool about it. Not to mention they now say the number of patients and being the top in granted patents per year for a long time isn't important. It's what patents they have. Right, yes of course, so you've received us for many years that IBM is a big innovator based on the number of patients and now you've changed the story?? Hilarious!
Let's see next week's earnings and guidance.
The report was released almost 2 months ago.. so how does it impact earnings report which are being released next week..
IBM's earrings report next week... Hype PR close to such looks like a bad earnings or outlook for 2023 if any, is coming...
How much revenues this experiment has brought other than some research grants and some institutions sold to "explore"...?
Remember how Watson was hyped as a big business, curing cancer, working with top hospitals, Anderson in Texas etc? How has that ended...? Layoffs and selling Watson Health?
Here we go again, I think this means bad earnings coming because of the timing of this PR...! We'll know next week.
