I heard UHG leadership is looking at cutting costs in 2023. That said, just about every large company in the US is looking at cost-cutting measures this year. Healthcare is a relatively stable industry even when the economy isn't doing well, and the UHG stock price is still strong, so there's no saying yet what UHG's cost cutting priorities would be, what lines of the business would be impacted, or how extensive it would be.

This is a for profit only company. They never cut the salaries of the big wigs! Cut the CEOs salary by half and it would save jobs and money!

Well there were layoffs in enterprise clinical services/optum last week, so that’s one. People that had just been promoted were laid off. Reorganizing teams.
