Brilliant BTS so far! All systems down (again). How does JT survive this every year?

Ahhhhh yes I remember when the likes of TB and CB would present about it. Anytime anyone asked about its availability one of them would talk down to the individual who asked the question. Making them feel like an id--t for questioning such brilliant innovative minds.

I did think P+ was a brand new platform. Interesting to hear it’s just another reconstitution!

@5ych+1kKOa8oi Yes! Several years ago, a small team created the Grid API, which was a collection of microservices that could be used to create new products. The only one that really materialized from that was Revel. They later rebranded it as the GLP under the illusion that they created something new. Pearson+ is just a wrapper around that, again, under the guise that they created something new.

Because our brilliant product and tech leaders were too busy congratulating each other about being market leaders in an already elitist market. It never occurred to them that things like compliance, syncing properly with crucial customer infrastructure, oh yeah and that pesky CLOUD would have relevance that we would need to account for.

Instead we let building on top and to the side patch after patch. Until it gets torn down and rebuilt this will continue.

But don’t worry! TB got a wonderful golden parachute so you can stop worrying!

if the new reps only knew management has been talking about fixing our platform for over a decade with very little actually been done. Instead they have to take our site down every couple of months to do a data cleanup so it will actually work.

I left over four years ago, and still? SMH. Whatever happened to the promise of the GLP (Global Learning Platform?) Smoke and mirrors? You don’t say…

Pearson reps, the competition, instructors and students know Pearson products are hard to use, have technical issues and most of of all Pearson doesn’t provide good support to instructors and students. Then our management team wonders why we are losing marketshare. Hey executive team stop talking about putting the customer in the middle and making consumer grade products. It’s just a bunch of talk and no action. Does anyone believe anything they say anymore when their actions are exactly the opposite of what they say is important?
