Because the miss is so big that they want to make the change now and lock new teams into place for a faster start in Q1?
In short write off what is already bad, try and setup a faster start in the new FY.
Not said from a place of “knowing” just conjecture.
Why would they do layoffs before the close of the quarter/fiscal year? People would sandbag or even undermine sales if they were on the list to be let go? You'd think they'd announce any layoffs during the first two weeks of the new fiscal year.
So layoffs next week ? Is that confirmed

It is obvious some Directors and VPs clearly have not heeded the NDAs related to this.

no there are no layoffs this week.
I believe all is said and done for this round by the 25th.
If they want to get people off boarded by start of new financial year , then its got to be this week . Otherwise charge offs will be in FY24 .
