I retired from Ford last year (no, I did not want to, was forced to more or less), so I don’t have a horse in this race anymore. But I will say two things:
First, to the id--ts that think they are going to ask people hired outside of Michigan during the scamdemic to come to Michigan: how is that going to work exactly? Nearly all of these people are software engineers or other hi tech people - you really think they don’t have other options? Moreover, you think Ford is gonna pay to relocate a 1,000 plus people or more??
Second, life isn’t fair - ask any of the near 5,000 people let go of forced out from Ford how fair life is to them. So quit your belly aching about people working remote in other states. Many of you had your chance for nearly two years to make a move and you didn’t. I did way back in 2020 and never looked back, have a now 12 year old girl and my wife’s mother is still in Michigan. It was not easy, trust me, but it could have been done by any one of you - and you chose not to move. Like nearly anything in life, you need to look in the mirror before complaining about things, because we all have choices in life.
