Im a claims employee. My zone is losing adjusters and we are being told they are not hiring, rather us left are absorbing their files. Curious if others are experiencing this. It seems like we are understaffed in claims, but not hiring. What gives?

Offshore then automation. Anyone left in the US handling claims will be dealing with the junk while continuing to receive 1-3% raises.
The grass is greener elsewhere. It took me 6 months at a new employer to realize how toxic the environment at allstate became. Glad to see Glen was sent packing.
Certain zones are over staffed. They’ve been told to balance things out amongst the different zones to even out workloads. They’re in a hiring freeze.
I would guess they are expecting to shrink and lose market share which would eventually mean less claims. This will pressure the system and they will eventually rehire during the recession when it is easier.
