Thread regarding Genuine Parts Co. layoffs

Say goodbye to Genuine Parts Company...

Pretty good place for working in IT while it lasted. Now, with the Naveen Krishna and the Macy's/Home Depot crew flowing in, they are running out the current managers. They are changing things with no real communicated plan, and rumors of layoffs, AKA OUTSOURCING to India, are now common. We expect it. Attitudes with this new crew are awful. Arrogant and bullying methods are the new norm.

Time to go.

GPC, it was nice while it lasted, but now you've started a remodel of your own house while a storm approaches.

Today's townhall will be interesting as there will be an announcement for sure...so just fingures crossed on who is going away now.
However it su-ks to be here and want to go back to parents and take care of them. I hope to make some good Karma rather good money?..anyways money comes and goes..let me server my parents!! if things does not work they way they are suppose to.

CIDOs fav guys are hired at outrageously high compensation. Infra guy doesn’t know anything about infra, poor communication and don’t even know how to dress. Cloud guy is arrogant and he hired a junior guy as a sr director for cloud….

I don't want to say my ethnicity (I could be asian, Indian etc) but I am an old GPC employee, I see the pain myself. I see so many juniors joining with no much experience and talent. It sucks to be here. I have taken some action but nothing works.

As an alumni of Macys, I feel for GPC. Naveen implemented the same crony-ism at Macys, wiping out entire groups and replacing them with his 3 fave offshoring orgs.

Someone should look into the kickbacks he’s getting.

Outsourcing is only part of the picture. They are replacing all of the staff with imported folks from India. Just look around when you are at HQ. So much for diversity.
