Thread regarding Ford layoffs

2022 numbers are being sugar-coated

So they announce that the trucks are the best selling trucks, the transits are the best selling vans, the Maverick is the best selling small truck and that Ford is the 2nd largest electric automaker. Here's what they don't tell you: That our overall sales is down. Also, they are way short if they want 1,000,000 subscribers for.BlueCruise subscriptions.

How many whiners on here own a Tesla? Zero. This site is a cry towel for low Ford performers. Arrow this down if you’re a dead wood armchair slacker.

Especially when Jim Kramer and the other d-mbos pump the stock as a growth stock…I smell enronesque situation

I think they have been cooking the books since Mark Fields left..maybe before that…think about it…they are not growing volume it’s shrinking and their increase of msrp can’t cover their gap…

Tesla makes their money on initial sales, not secondary sales.

@2hsn+1kD2XQJi Tesla raised prices many times during the pandemic while Ford's prices stayed largely stagnant and dealers profited from the increased demand. Tesla's price reductions now are just giving some of those increases back.

The interesting part is that most OEMs would have handled this with negotiations and incentives so the sticker price stayed the same. The way Tesla did this is ki----g resale on their vehicles.

Tesla prices started out high enough that he can afford to lower them 20%. His designs have always been futuristic, but the cybertruck with the solar panels on the gate looks so different it might sell just for the coolness factor, we shall see. https://www.tesla.com/cybertruck

Tesla lowering prices 20% while Ford is raising prices doesn’t bode well for Ford

Its just matter of time the bubble is burst
Any sensible person would not invest on a garbage ford ev in this economy.
There is a internal report of spike in ev returns where the customer is not able/willing to make the ev payment anymore

The Model e-based products and services did well. Sure to only go up from here. 2023 will be a breakthrough for the Ford+ Plan.

We shall soon see how 2022 financials turn out. Sales were down, expenses were up, and we won’t have Argo and Rivian valuations to inflate profits. It will be Ford Credit residual values that do the trick! I can’t wait to see the broken out financials for each group that Farley committed to providing.

I understand that it does seem like they’re inflating the numbers, but I gotta say one thing this company does well is report financial and sales figures accurately. They’re quick to release both positive and negative info. Now, If only they were as successful in building quality vehicles and have competent execs

Of course they are spinning the numbers. The stock price was about to go sub $10. Suddenly they release this "news' and the stock went up a couple of bucks. When reality sets in the stock price will crater.
