Laid off in Canada at 56. This blows.
Going through LinkedIn, it looks like there were a lot of us “of a certain age” that were let go.

Well Jethro Tull, all I can tell you is that I enjoyed CPC age discrimination back in 2020, and all the lizards responsible are now gone.

Mount a class action law suit or start a remote viewing program to bring gremlins into ConocoPhillips. If you feel slighted or marginalized it’s because companies are laying off experienced employees. If you ever want to work again ensure ConocoPhillips needs you back

Age and experience cost money. The company isn't interested in spending any more than bare minimum and sadly, that will cost them a helluva lot more than the salaries and benefits of a few greybeards that know a little more than the average AI-wielding contractor.
