Just got laid off this morning out of the midland office. I felt so bad for the hr rep who called it was hard for her to tell me. But all is well holding my head up and ready for the next challenge. Got to comfortable at cop and was looking for something new anyway. Good luck to everyone else. Remember there is always something better for you.

@c0 yup I got 3 of them in the last 6 months. Thought I was more useful i helped multiple teams with different projects and probably saved a considerable amount of money doing it within the company. But its concocos loss im no longer with them not mine

@a2 same here, it was fishy getting a mark award 2 weeks prior and random comments of appreciation.
@ag “impersonal way”. Enlighten us as to how this should be done in a non “impersonal way”.
There are so many comments that could be made about the unfair and impersonal way this is being handled. I will just say that I feel for you and hope it all works out.
@OP I got the layoff phone call too. Ironically I just received another Mark reward two weeks ago. Well, I will not feel sorry for the manager and HR rep who called me. The culture in Corp IT became so different for the past few years. You have to be manger’s friend in order to survive in many teams. Wish us good luck in the future.
