Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Anyone know what Optum COBRA rates are?

Planning for some time off after this. Navigating healthcare while unemployed sounds like a nightmare.

If you still have access to Sparq, the COBRA rates are posted - search "COBRA rates". You will also be notified of your COBRA options after you're laid off, although that may take a few weeks to arrive.

I rejected Cobra is the same price, but without employer contributions. Go to healthcare.gov to see your offer and subsidies. You may want to get in touch with an Health Insurance Agent.

Be careful with COBRA if you are Medicare-eligible - do not take COBRA.
Look up: cobra creditable coverage seniors

It's strange but you can use HSA to pay for Cobra, but not exchange premiums.

You're better off going to the health care exchange vs cobra.

In 2024 COBRA premium for my individual, high deductible medical plan with low premium vision and dental was approx $830. YMMV
