Is anyone who received notice in October having any success getting redeployment interviews? I'm not sure if I want to stay or not, but after almost 20 years with the organization, I’d rather stay than start over somewhere else. Honestly, I’m just physically and emotionally exhausted right now.

I heard HR say something about 14 days for redeployment. Can anyone find the policy on Sparq?
I was RIF’d after 30 years of service back in February. Have applied to over 100 positions with no luck.
Haven't had any luck with internal jobs .
On my team 5 of the 27 got rehired in November (within 14 days of being let go.)
These were the options: A few took a postion for a lower pay grade but same pay. A few took the bad shifts 1:45pm-10:30pm and weekend shifts.
As an Optum director I'm already being asked to move 4s to 3s and 3s to 2s. So yes, I think many people will be let go before they ever hit the bonus or raise cycle next year. I'm sorry for anyone let go as I have had my leaderhship, peers, and employees all impacted this year. Good luck if you are able to find something external.
They asked me to apply for lower grades. I'd rather have the severance package then take a pay cut with no change of a bonus, no raise, and a high chance of being RIFed again in 2026. From what I can see it is better to get out now then the bloodbath that will be Q1.
Our department hired someone impacted by this most recent RIF. It was a position we were sure an internal person had in the bag. They dropped 3 salary grades to take it...
Redeployment is a lie, as there is a freeze on all USA positions. If a manager gets an opening approved 99.5% chances are that the manager will place a person of their team in that position given the fact promotions are not existing or they were not able to take care of that internal employee.
I have a peer that was RIF'd like me that did secure a job, although a GL below her current one--but she knew the hiring manager from a previous role. I've applied to a few positions, nothing yet, but no rejections, either, so fingers crossed. One other impacted person I know has had nothing so far turn up internally. We all sat in OI.
I did have a consult with one of the career counselors and they were really helpful in showing me how I could adapt my skills to similar jobs in other areas, so I recommend that if you still have time to do so. I've known a few people who were RIF'd in previous years who boomeranged back. Having someone on the inside to check for jobs and submit as referrals helps.
Every internal position up my alley, as part of redeployment was filled and not removed from internal job site prior to 11/13 RIF. Well done.
Hit 15 positions got 1 call and 4 "you meet every qualification we listed and want" but we're going another direction. Got another Job picked up about a 30% salary gain over how low Optum pays. Lot more interest than I thought with them on the resume.
I was riffed at another company -Aetna- in late 2019 when CVS bought Aetna. My equals in other states applied for jobs within, without success, often not even getting an interview just an denial email 5 hours after applying. I did not apply to any, my mindset was I don’t want be where I am not wanted. Then Covid hit & few jobs to be had. My old director called and offered a job, I swallowed hard & took it as I needed a job. Point is I feel if someone at your company knows your work, you have a better chance of getting another job within the company
I was RIF'd 10/30 and have no desire to stay but I know of 2 peers that have gotten internal interviews/interest. If you want to stay, find the energy to apply!
@OP sorry to know you were cut after 20 years! I know of 2 from the previous RIF (Q2) that did come back so it does happen but probably not common. Good luck!
I've seen it happen, not with this October layoff but in past ones. Probably not common to be honest though. Wishing you the best.
