Just curious..... When you get laid off, does Verizon pay you for your banked time off or use it or lose it?

If you work in the state of CA, CO, IL, MA, NE and ND then unused accrued personal time is paid at separation.
You do get paid for unused vacation time. What I'm not sure of is for those who currently have more than 150% banked (given that it is being reduced from 175% max on Jan 1).
Vacation paid out, personal days paid out for certain states, it’s in the Severance SPD.
@a5 don't be a tw-t waffle
Yes to vacation days. Personal days are only paid out in certain states (I believe MA is one of them). Not sure if it's documented in the severance SPD, but payroll would know. To be safe, always use your personal days first since they cannot be carried over.
paid out for unused vacation and personal days
if staying
should use personal first as they don't carry over
@a6 that is incorrect. You do not get paid for unused personal days
You should definitely get paid out for vacation and personal time. Make sure to use up your stick time, they won’t pay that out.
Easier to find this info by probably talking to someone at your location like real people do , instead of trolling on this site for silly answers. Step away from the screen
Believe you get paid for vacation days but not personal days.
When I was lad off from VZ a coupla years ago, I got paid for unused vaca days
