11/7 Layoffs

How are we feeling about the latest round of layoffs? Did you lose anyone valuable on your teams? Do we truly believe this is the last round?

Operations and engineering are going to get cut as well. They will be getting rid of everyone and replacing them with contractor and AI. IT is also going to get cut and be completely replaced with contractor and AI. There will be no cpchem employees left. None.

@b7 procurement, scheduling and support staff will be replaced by AI. Once everything is migrated over expect more IT cuts. Operations will get replaced by a 3rd party contractor. They will follow the DOW model. If you can retire do so.

@az
Rumor has it that the round 2 employees didn't receive the generosity of the round 1. I was round 1 and I know what I got. Discussed recent layoff with round 2 and was shocked at the amount of compensation, about half. Seems the leadership has decided to not be as generous. I wonder if round 3 will simply get a pink slip...

What a stupid question. Of course valuable people are being let go.

What do you mean how we feel? Lol what kind of questions are these. It su-ks to go through these and see people go through them. Of course valuable people were let go, and this definitely isn’t going to be the last.

Yes, we lost some valuable people.

I hear what they say, but I don’t believe them. I think there are more to come.
