What kind of company pays to move someone - along with their entire family - and then lays them off a few months later, just before the holidays? Absolutely cruel and heartless. Employees and hard work are not rewarded there. It’s an awful place to work. Thankfully, I was also laid off.
Tyson treats people like family…. Worked for someone for a few years not a text or a call from either leaders on the team. Discarded like trash. Heard some people are extremely overworked while others have part time jobs at full pay.
We lost about 30 experienced workers and n west Michigan. No warning, just job elimination. Simply terrible. People with 30 years of experience were just eliminated.
I was one of those let go, heard the morale of those still left is horrible. How can Tyson think just haphazardly cutting people left and right with no real justification will improve company performance? Unless you have a family member on the board, they are coming for you next.
@j0 how do you tell a special needs child there's no paycheck and no insurance
Tyson is family.......till they kick you out the door for no reason. Thanks Tyson.👍
This has never been a company from which to retire. No one is spared once they exceed the mediums of their pay scales. 2 criteria to keep your job .
Stay younger than 50 years ,
Don't get pay raises while navigating keeping your job.
Can anyone remember a retirement. party ? Of course not.
Look for a new job if you are over 50,
I was mercifully one of those let go. Tyson’s horrible reputation is well earned. I’ve never seen such nepotism, double standards, and secrecy in my life.
@j0 lost great team members with a lot of tenure. Curious on the reasoning behind since Tyson had two solid years.
Still going on. Estimates put it at 650. Curious how they bypassed warn act.
This has continued today. Lost four from my department.
True - My aunt worked for Tyson for 37 and a half years. Came in Friday (11/07) as usual, got a call mid-morning; "Clear your office, you're part of a layoff." It's the only job she's had her entire life.
