How can you quiet quit at this job and not get fired? Seriously, it would be so blatant. My last job, no problem, there was hardly enough work to go around. But at SF? No way, we're drowning in tasks.
Is it still a thing? Ask 100 claim employees, 99 will tell you it is the only thing.
Yes. I lost a promotion to a claims specialist and a useless tenured employee that played politics with two other new hires which all ganged up to change the status quo. Since then I've been coasting with my side business. Been at 200k+ since that event. They should have just given me the promotion. Oh well.
