@h5 so longtime employees don’t have families? I don’t know how old your kids are but they don’t get cheaper when they go to college, can’t find a job right away, have medical issues, etc. and that’s not even getting into caring for your old parents.

i've only been here a couple years but why does a longtime employee not need a job - they need health care and to pay the bills too - we aren't entitled to their job bc we are younger or they have more savings - not too many people stay on a job if they don't need it ...

Theres longtime CBS employees that have both a 401k and an actual very good legitimate PENSION - yet they stay in order that younger employees with families get laid off instead - great brotherhoods they have...
