EW who actually came from Shell has a brilliant technical mind, is fair and rewards competency.

I worked for him in GOMBU when he joined CVX and his philosophy stuck with me always. He believed his number one job as a manager was to get you to the postion you wished to pursue IF you demonstrated capacity.

I’ve seen AW mentioned on a lot of threads implying he’s like a chocoholic except for booze. I’m in Upstream so I don’t get any of the good backstories. Anyone care to provide some good reading material for the weekend?

Dave O'Reilly was the last of our decent leaders. Everything that followed has been a disaster of one sort or another. Even those that seemed to have promise initially (MN, NH, EB) have turned horrible.

The only honest and hard working leader I can think of off the top of my head right now is the Chief Investment Officer, WB, but that is a somewhat marginalize role.
