Basically the title, just because I don't like my current job doesn't mean I don't want to ever work here again. Anyone in HR know what the criteria for rehire eligibility is?

Why bro? You don't have to hate working there to not want to go back. But if you can seriously see yourself working there again, we live in 2 very different worlds.
Fu-k that.
Just keep your receipt for a tube of K Y Jelly in your pocket as PROOF you are ready to work for Ford!
Your LL6 gets to put down their recommendation for rehire in a letter or form they send to HR, I saw it when I was going through offboarding. Its probably dependent on if you gave your two weeks notice, and certainly dependant on if your LL6 likes you.
But that probably won't mean much if and when whatever is left of Ford gets sold to the Chinese and the new management redoes the HR system.
@j6 you beat me too it
Why?
I'm leaving the company too.

OP: Like the @dh said, the best way is knowing a Manager level or above
"But why would you want to go back anyway?" This is the key question. I know enough people trying to get out right now as it is. Just a difficult time to switch things up near the holidays. But you really need to be clear with yourself as to why you'd consider ever going back in the future. You have been paying attention haven't you?
@OP. Your best bet to get rehire is be chums with a manager...
Two weeks’ notice is generally enough, but keep in mind if your final review after leaving is disappointing, they probably won’t take you back. We once had a manager who wrecked an entire department, moved to another company, and ended up with a damaged reputation.
But why would you want to go back anyway? Ford may not even be around in the same form in the future. Many people won’t be able to afford new vehicles, and consumers are becoming much smarter about what they buy. They’re tired of overpriced cars that barely last 100,000 miles. You pay over $50,000, and it holds up for maybe two or three years. Everything today seems designed to cut costs engines fail under 150,000 miles, transmissions fall apart around 120,000, and there are endless recalls on motors, body parts, sensors, and even basic thermal insulation.
@ag
Word is, the Detroit Zoo trained monkeys to handle HR. So yeah—watch out, that Liberal Arts Degree might not cut it anymore.
HR is about the most useless profession at the company, figured that would have all been outsourced / TVM'd by now.
@aj I have 32 years left before I can retire. The job I have now may not be what I want, but that doesn't mean there's no job here for me in the future. I don't want to be cut off from ~170,000 potential job possibilities.
You might think you've answered this already, but...WHY? I think you should take your time and answer this after you think about it again.
You won't be retired. You chose to leave. We all make our choices. I work in HR and will personally see to it that you will NOT be hired ever again. Have a nice day!
My sad story is that Ford has hired me 4x since 1994, Visteon split, etc.
I did not sign anything stating “no return” or similar.
In each case of being rehired it took abit longer to process due to the fact I had been a former employee.
Done at the end of the year with no Ford Pension owed to me.
