Thread regarding Fidelity Investments layoffs

Well the ball has been dropped - Seems the other posts were accurate

Scrum masters, chapters, squads are "retiring"

Wonder who's next on the chopping blocks.

November 18th doomsday clock seems still accurate.

They are cutting to avoid the annual bonus…get a grip and see the forest through the trees.

@br I guess you should learn to read a memo which clearly said "these changes will affect teams and associates at different levels"

Of course you're free to interpret the words as you see fit

Fidelity is vicious with regards to RIF.
They do anything they can to reduce headcount prior to an actual layoff.

They tend to target mid-level long time employees whom are at the high end of their pay range.

Methods used are: movement to dying projects, assigned garbage tasks, transfer to new locations, strict enforcement of RTO, no salary increases, anything to cause pain or make them angry enough to leave or retire early.

It’s a shame since many of these people have given their careers to Fidelity.

They're just changing titles and slightly adjusting roles and responsibilities, those jobs aren't going anywhere
