The Indian accent is undoubtedly the most annoying accent in the world, Verizon needs to ax the entire cs reps based in India and move it elsewhere I know it's pennies on the dollar but imagine Verizon customers hearing that accent when they are already pi---d off

Being in a specialty role (pact) I will be the first to say that Verizon India are sh*t talking argumentative mother fks. Get them out of here. They can’t even do their job correctly. That’s not racism. That’s facts
It will never happen. The execs keep their high pay, and get expensive gifts from vendors by sending jobs to India ( and other countries). You should adopt an accent if you want a job with an “American” telco.
Get use to it. Not Changin
Please do the needful. IYKYK I've never seen a group honor themselves with so many awards without really accomplishing much. eg...myPlan...do any customers really believe it's better but yet someone in VZ tells us it's the best item since sliced bread.
I feel like there is benefit to outsourcing to India such as back office/technical work. But probably not great for client facing work. The problem with communication has long been an issue. I had a manager who hang up the phone because he didnt have the patience to understand what the person was saying. Also from my experience on calls routed to Philippines, they try to sell you additional services and they tried keeping you on the phone for a long time which is very annoying. Its not because of the Philippine representative, but people would be annoyed in general if you called to have something done but they try to keep you on the phone forever to see addtl services. On top of that, they want you to stay on to take the survey.
If I have to hear, "with this one sir I can help you." In the heaviest Indian accent and then they sc--w up the problem even more.
Soooo many customers are hating dealing with India for this. They hate dealing with Mexico or the Philippines because they always cram everything onto accounts.
If we’re going to outsource, let’s try ensuring they aren’t stealing information, scamming, and lying to our customers.
Ever been to Boston?
It’s not the accent. A well spoken person is easy to understand regardless of their accent. But if they speak gibberish and try to hide it in a heavy accent that’s something altogether. I once asked someone to text me what he was saying because I could not understand him no matter how many times he repeated it. The text came out in gibberish. It’s not racist. It’s just the way of getting out of work, confusing the issue, we’re trying to upsell you without your knowledge.
Being factual about not being able to understand people ≠ being racist you freakin mo--ns in this post
Just another racist thread
@a9 the only thing getting done by Indians is confusing the customers. Happy Diwali
This is why I never get an annual physical.
Jobs getting outsourced coz too many execs want fat paychecks with little to no work. The "Indians" are actually getting stuff done and not waiting around to retire and bloating the bottom line. Shame on you for not adding value to your sh*tty work
Why is it racist. VZ is a company providing service for Americans in America, paying American dollars. We expect customer service to also be in America, not in some foreign country.
It’s not racist because how can you provide good customer service when neither you OR the customer can understand each other clearly and easily without repeating yourself constantly.
Racist j e r k s.
thats just being a racist
That’s why I never visit a 711.
