Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Any info on Verizon Connect?

Seeing lots post for greater VZ, wondering if there’s any rumors to those of us that survived the sale of INTL.

lol they have been actively trying to sell connect for years. They had numerous meetings where they had to present the “value” of connect and no one wants to buy it. At this point they are trying to sell it for almost nothing and no one wants it.

At one point, Connect was a $1B company, and the current executives have completely ruined this group. It once had potential, but now they’ll have to sell for pennies on the dollar. The only successful people were the executives from Telogis and FleetMatics who cashed in.

Verizon Corp needs to put Connect out of its misery and sell this division off. They’ve had more than enough time to prove their business model and continue to su-k resources from Corp. key word being “su-k”

@b5 yup, that’s how they did it with Yahoo, kept a minority stake. Not sure if they still do though.

VZ should bundle IOT with Connect and sell both. Or if there’s some confidence left, keep a minority stake.

They are hiring a Sr Director. Job posted in the past few days. Only open job outside of retail. Seems somewhat promising.

Seems like it would be on the chopping block.

It’s one of the easiest parts of the company to sell…not heard rumours but it doesn’t seem a “core” business
