Thread regarding Edward Jones layoffs

Return to Office

Has anyone heard what’s changing next year about whether we’re going to be able to continue working from home? I recall reading or hearing that announcements will be made at the beginning of 2026.

External HO job posts no longer mention a remote option. if youre remote now you can continue to do so, but future "regulatory changes" may mean the end of remote work (keeping it vague).

Its pretty clear that this is another slimming mechanism for HO, knowing that some will pursue hybrid or remote work elsewhere AND that stl and tempe do not have the population for some of the highly skilled or niche roles that exist in ho.

Its coming...

Be certain we will be in the office five days per week in the near future. No one stood up to stop them with the layoffs and sending jobs to India. Every time they do things like this the more the odds swing in their favor. They will call for everyone to come back into the office. Penny will spin it as we work better face to face. Chubak will just come out and say there were layoffs and you survived. Just be thankful you have a job and come back to the office or quit.
