I’ve been looking on this site for the past week and what I have gathered is nobody actually knows anything. Only thing I have seen is a lot of speculation. If you actually know something bring the proof. Also, does anybody think that maybe the acquisition of Frontier and once the acquisition goes through that will be the actual layoffs? Wouldn’t they just layoff the people that worked for Frontier if the jobs are already taken at Verizon? From what I’ve read Verizon will layoff 4,000-5,000+ people from Frontier once the acquisition is completed. I may be wrong but this makes sense.

@aa frontier also operates in a different geographical footprint so in theory that merger should increase job numbers. If they are smart they will layoff in conjuncture with adding the new positions to hide how many people they are really laying off.
@ab yes but from whom? I haven’t heard anything reliable from anybody so far.
I heard 20% of management is gone by end of year.
Frontier likely has better workers than VZ, so don’t get your hopes up for that. Everyone will RTO, the ones who refuse will be eliminated
@a4 yes, but I guess me saying that Frontier’s jobs are going to be cut once Verizon purchase goes through. So technically that would be a lot of layoffs all at once. We don’t know.

Same here, recently discovered this site. I’m also a new employee, union and < 1 year so I’m safe. From what I can tell there’s more rumors and misinformation than truth here. And people who hate their coworkers and come here to vent… also don’t forget there’s probably some people that don’t even work for the company that come here and post just to start sh-t, into an anonymous site so anyone can post whatever… it’s entertaining to read though

Yeah the F'n CEO just said himself that there were gonna be layoffs. Plus very plain talk about aggrressive cost cutting. They ain't talking about cutting the office coffee
I personally think 10,000 will be let go.
Whether that’s all at once or over the next 6 months idk.
