Big big changes to Wealth on horizon

A lot of group chapter leads, platform leads are up for significant role shake up.

This won't be without impacts to associates at level 4,5,6.

We are looking at complete restructuring of middler tier managers which includes delivery leads, platform leads, chapter leads and group chapter leads.

There's a chatter of no more squad model, lot of squad leads, group squad lead roles are up for a shake up as well

While the consensus is "no impacts to associates", we all know that's a lie.

Some will be communicated the decision middle of November, giving associates 2 months to find new role.

Others would have until end of Q1 2026 to find new role.

Don't be surprised if they also add "colocation" of team in the mix and make it even drastic. Especially Engineering Leader, Scrum Master, Product Owner and 75% engineers has to be in same location.

There may be significant reduction in general purpose technology Chapter leaders and Group Chapter roles if these leaders don't "own applications or platforms or products or do day to day delivery". Each of their team member may move to actual delivery or product engineering leader. So roles like e.g. CL of Scrum Masters / QAs / Data Analysts are on target.

All Squad leads will be downgraded to level 7 and given product owner role reporting to Engineering or Delivery leader.

What came out today? I have heard most of what is being said but the resounding thing I hear from leaders is this is not about workforce reduction or RIFs this is about realignment…. Not that I’m d-mb enough to think this doesn’t come with it… just wish they were honest. Any ideas on which groups, roles etc in wealth?

We know no more chapter leads or group chapter leads for sure.

Bob doesn't want different styles, titles within wealth.

No one ones for sure how the consolidation will work or what's the future of squad leads and GSL

do we know what roles are going to be impacted?

We been hearing impacts to scrum masters, squad leads, architects for a while now but nothing has changed except for chapter leads turning into delivery leads.

Seems just fancy titles with 0 responsibility changes, can anyone confirm?
