Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

too many pretenders

When a wire line first liner is out for a week his counterparts cover two gangs nothing ever happens ...and the work gets covered.. when a second liner is out for a week and they have somebody covering both areas nothing ever happens and the work gets done... How can this guy not see that he has twice as many people as he needs in wireline.

The thing you are nto cionsiderign is.... thsi is best case scenario. What about when there are multiple outages? What if the guy covering gets injured ? You can't staff for absolute minumim needed when things are going well

The best solution is to just get rid of the massive pyramid of management. Its so redundant. We can save sooo much

Re Post ID: @a4+1k95gz12s. They should do like the power companies, have a minimum amount of crews and when a storm hits you use contractors . Way to much dead weight in VZ

@a4 pretty sure they mean too many managers.....the techs would get the work done even if there were 40 people to a gang....the managers just pretend you can't have that many

A week is alot different than 90 days or a year. How many hours do you want the managers to work. The best solution to have less techs and more overtime. You save on vehicles and benefits
